Kayaking, Dolphins & Friends

So anyway... it has been forever since I last wrote on this blog. I decided to change my blog from "my blessings" to "The Many Adventures of Mommy & Kili-kili." I chose to change it because as I think back of all the things we both have gone through, we are going through an adventure and also because we love "The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh." :)

Well this post will be about Friday, March 30th, 2012.

That day was Cesar Chavez Day so my friends were all of. We then decided that we wanted to go to the beach and go kayaking in Long Beach. I was so excited to go and take Caylee for her first time. It was so much fun.

Alek & Angelica came over to my house so that we can hang out for a little and pack some of Caylee's toys and snacks so we have something to munch on. We just talked about what we wanted to do and we found out that our good friend Keshia could not go with us anymore. We were so bummed but of course we did not let that ruin our day. I put Caylee into her pretty new swimsuit from her Ninang Jacquie. It is so cute I love it!!

We finally packed our stuff into Alek's little cute white Civic and were ready to go. But before we left we decided we should text the rest of the people coming with us and see where they were at. Michelle was still at the shop getting her car battery replaced, Cynthia & David were getting ready to go & Justin was still at work. Justin was about to get off so we decided to take some detours before we went to pick him up. Alek, Angelica, Caylee and I went to 7-Eleven to grab a few more snacks (chips). We went to Justin's house and picked him up.

Finally, we were on our way to Long Beach for kayaking. The drive was an "ok" drive. Traffic was not bad on the 60 but when we got onto the 605 it was pretty traffic. When we got there, the place was not busy. We got out and sat at the benches to wait for Cynthia and David. Angelica and I had to use the restroom and the bathrooms were SOOOOOO weird. There were no stalls or doors or soap. When we were done we decided that Alek, Angelica and I would go kayaking. I was so excited!!! We kayaked through the little channels and we saw all the pretty house. They were gorgeous. We joked around about buying one of the houses and sharing it. I was the only one that brought my phone to check the time and just in case someone called. And did they call. I got like 3 to 4 phone calls on the water but luckily it was in ziploc bags so it did not get wet. When we were done we got out and set up the towels and beach umbrellas. We had some snacks and played in the water. It was pretty cold. I took Caylee to the edge of the water and she ran right in but tried to jump back into my arms because it was cold at first. But after she got the hang of it she was happy. She splashed and jumped and was enjoying herself.

Caylee's FIRST time at the beach!!!

Her posing and looking at the sand

I wanted to take a picture with Caylee's feet in my footprints but it did not go so well. My footprints did not want to come out the way I wanted it to. So instead we decided to write her name in the sand. We then sat her down next to her name so we could take pictures. She was so happy with the sand that she would not look up for the pictures, but finally she looked and we got AWESOME pictures. I was so happy!!

My fail at trying to put her foot in my footprints :(

Amazed at the sand and her name

She finally looked up for a picture

Three of her pretty pictures looking at the camera with her name in the sand!

While we were playing in the sand we saw dolphins swimming by. We were so jealous. We should have waited to go kayaking or even went again. We were so bummed but what can you do. We had fun regardless :)) Then finally!!! Michelle came. She just made everything more crazier and fun. Angelica and Michelle were tripping over each other and making everyone laught. Alek and Justin were walking in the water. Cynthia and David were hanging out on the blankets and watching everyone. And Caylee and I were playing in the sand. She was having a blast!! Then we saw the dolphins again! We finally decided that we wanted to go to the actual real beach across the street. We were technically at the beach but in the little "rivers" that run along Long Beach. As we were walking we passed by basketball courts, a street hockey arena and  PLAYGROUND!! So I decided since Caylee is big now that I wanted to see if she would like to play on the swings. She was having fun, especially looking at the little boy that was on the swing next to hers. She was enjoying it at first, squeals of laughter then she started getting a little scared.

Happy Face :)

Happy Face :)))

Then SCARED OUTTA HER MIND face :((

We took her out then walked across the street to "Alamitos Beach?" I think thats what it was called? It was a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG walk to the shores of the beach. We sat next to the a big pile of sand. As we were talking and playing, this little boy "Matthew" (his mom called him to leave us alone so we know his name) kept coming over talking to us and giving us rocks? His mom was crazy! She was like collecting something?? and did not care where her son was going. She was a good 30 yards away and was not looking up once for her son. After the second time he came over she finally realized he was gone and called him back over. Then Alek, Justin, Cynthia and David had to use the restroom so they walked hiked (cuz the bathrooms were far) to the bathrooms and left Michelle, Angelica, Caylee and I to talk. When they came back like after 10-15 minutes we talked a little longer and then Cynthia and David had to go. After they left, Michelle and Caylee were getting into a "laughing fight." Michelle would scream at Caylee then Caylee would scream/laugh back at her. This went on for like 10 minutes but it was hella funny. I took a small clip of their "fight."

Their crazy laughing "fight"

We cleaned up and began the walk back to the car. Instead of going straight to the car we went back to the swing cause I wanted to take another picture. We passed by a car that belonged to one of the kayaking employees and saw that he got a ticket. SUCKAA!!! At the swings, she had the same face. It was hilarious! We then went to the car and drove back home. As soon as we put Caylee into her car seat and gave her some of her bottle and before we even left our parking spot, Caylee was passed out cold. She was so exhausted. It was a pretty smooth drive back home. We got there at the same time as Michelle even though she left way before we did. We were so hungry so my mom decided to eat the marinated BBQ she made. By the time the food was done, we were eating like we hadn't eaten all day. It was so good. Homemade BBQ by my mom is (I think) the best!! After eating about 5 pounds of meat we relaxed and I gave Caylee a shower as everyone watched me. We then chilled in my room and talked and watched a little of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Michelle left first, followed by Justin, Alek and Angelica. I brought Caylee to my parent's room so that they could watch real quick as I took a shower. I felt so nasty that I took a longer shower than usual. It felt so nice to take one. I quickly changed and got Caylee to finally put her to sleep. She was exhausted. I gave her her bottle and she quickly went to sleep. I soon followed after and it was wonderful to sleep into the next day.

So that was my adventure with my friends yesterday and Caylee's first time at the beach. SHE LOVED IT!! and we had a blast. So lastly, before I sleep. I want to thank God for all that he has given us. His BEAUTIFUL creation. A blessing of a daughter. Wonderful friends that are there no matter what. An awesome mother who took care of not only my family but also my friends. I love all of them so much and Thank God every day for the blessings He has given me.

Day 10

I cannot believe that Caylee is already 10 days old. It is ridiculous to think that I had her on my birthday. What a wonderful birthday gift she was for me. I tried to have her on the 12th because I wanted her to be a birthday gift for my mother. I love my daughter and I am so happy that God has given her to me. So anyways, I have many more blessings that God has given me.

  1. He has given me a strong, wise, wonderful and Godly father. He has been supportive and I thank God for giving me a father that has kept our family strong and has taught us to become strong Christians.
  2. God has given me a humble, beautiful, wise and Godly mother. She has sacrificed so much for our family. I thank God for giving my sister and I an example of a Godly woman that we one day hope to become.
  3. God has given me a wonderful sister. Even though we used to always fight and I believe that I have pushed her away and we should be closer but with the birth of Caylee we have become closer and even though we still fight I love my sister.
  4. God has also given me four wonderful and supportive older brothers and their wives.
I just honestly thank God so much for a wonderful and supportive family that loves me unconditionally. What more could I have asked for in a family? I love my family and I love God so much for this wonderful blessing.

In the end, I hope and pray that God will grow me to become a Proverbs 31 woman.

Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."

A NEW LIFE!

a NEW life...

Since June 1st, my life has changed 100%. I have become a mother. Yes I said it. a MOTHER! I cannot believe that at the age of 18 I am a young mother. So anyway... I guess I can start blogging about my many adventures of being a mommy and how my baby has become one of my greatest blessings EVER.

So anyway to start it off, I guess I just want to list the blessings that I have been given from God...
  1. A God who is always there no matter what
  2. A beautiful baby GIRL (Caylee Josephine Nepomuceno)
  3. A family who is supportive and loves me for who I am
  4. An extended family who is also supportive and loves me for who I am
  5. A trial that I know I can handle as long as God is on my side
Those are the blessings that God has obviously shown me and I know that he has so many more blessings to come and blessings that will come as trials first.

In the end, I do not regret that I had Caylee. I am so thankful to God for giving me her because she has shown me many things about my life. For example...
  1. She has brought my family SOOOOO much closer together
  2. I have learned who of my family and friends truly care about my family and I
  3. She has taught me that I need to continue to give my life to Christ and He will help me through anything
Those are the main examples of what God has taught me about people.

In conclusion, I know that God would not have given me Caylee if He knew that this was a trial that I could not handle.

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
